That’s Meta, espresso! Meta has debuted a new trailer for Sabrina Carpenter’s upcoming VR concert, which will take place exclusively at Meta Horizon Worlds’ Music Valley on Friday, July 19th.
In the clip, Carpenter is seen dancing onstage to her Billboard Hot 100 Top 5 hit “Espresso” with dancers against a vintage hotel-like backdrop.
Fans can stream VR concerts in Music Valley, one of the Meta Horizons Worlds available on the Meta Quest headset. The Music Valley concert series offers a front-row seat to music concerts in an immersive virtual reality space, where fans can watch the VR concert live and interact with other concert-goers.
Recently, the 25-year-old pop star spoke out about reactions to the somewhat awkward syntax of her hook lyric, “That’s that me espresso.” “What I love is pretty much the punchline,” she explained to Hot Ones’ Sean Evans. “If people don’t know the punchline, it’s like a waste. That’s how I feel about ‘me espresso.’ I’ve heard so many people say, ‘She should have said ‘That’s that blonde espresso,’ duh.’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, you’re right. This is another song that deserves its place in the world, but this song to me…’me espresso’ just felt like the right word, and it rhymes with the line before it.'”
“I just think it’s so funny,” she continues, shrugging, “and maybe they’re right.”
The Sabrina Carpenter: Music Valley VR Concert is set to stream on July 19th at 8pm ET/5pm PST. Check out the trailer below.
