Coinbase, a leading US-based cryptocurrency trading platform, has suddenly added support for BLOCKLORDS (LRDS), the native token of the blockchain-based strategy game.
In a new announcement on social media platform X, Coinbase said that LRDS will be labeled with an experimental label, meaning the token is either new to the platform or has low trading volume compared to the overall digital asset industry.
“BLOCKLORDS (LRDS) is currently live on Coinbase.com with an experimental label on the Coinbase iOS and Android apps. Coinbase customers can log in to buy, sell, convert, send, receive, or store these assets.”
BLOCKLORDS is a free-to-play, medieval-themed, massively multiplayer online (MMO) strategy game in the same vein as the Age of Empires and Command and Conquer series, where gamers use their decisions and skills to shape the game world and the story around them.
According to initial coin offering (ICO) data tracker ICO Drops, the LRDS token was launched this week on July 24th, but the game itself wasn’t released until 2023. BLOCKLORDS is currently available on the Epic Games Store and is scheduled to launch on Steam in 2025.
According to the official BLOCKLORDS website, the game will leverage non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and be compatible with Ethereum (ETH) Layer 2 scaling solutions ImmutableX (IMX) and Polygon (MATIC).
According to CoinGecko, LRDS is trading at $1.75 at the time of writing, down 5.3% over the past 24 hours.
