A new Alien: Rogue Incursion gameplay trailer has confirmed the VR horror title’s upcoming protagonist.
Following its PlayStation State of Play appearance in May, Survios unveiled a new Alien: Rogue Incursion gameplay trailer at San Diego Comic-Con, confirming for the first time that Rogue Incursion’s protagonist is Zula Hendricks, a former Colonial Marine turned xeno-hunter who has appeared in expanded media such as Aliens: Defiance and the Alien: Isolation novelization.
“When Zula’s former squadmate goes missing on the remote mining planet Pardun, it’s her mission to do whatever it takes to rescue her friend and ensure that none of the Xenomorphs make it off the planet alive,” Survios said in a short blog post.
First announced in April, Alien: Rogue Incursion is a single-player action-horror game for VR, developed by Survios (Creed: Rise To Glory) in collaboration with 20th Century Games. With motion trackers and a variety of weapons, Rogue Incursion features “dynamic” combat where your actions matter, and making too much noise will summon Xenomorphs.
For more information, see the official gameplay description on Steam.
The Xenomorph cleverly uses the environment to find the best angle of attack, appearing from anywhere around the player. Playing in VR will put your nerves and skills to the test as you face off against the Xenomorph in heart-pounding terror. In addition to your weapons and gear, you’ll need your wits, quick reflexes and the ability to keep cool under terrifying pressure to survive.
Alien: Rogue Incursion will be coming to Quest 3, PSVR 2, and PC VR “Holiday 2024.”
