The Sui Foundation, which works to promote and adopt the Layer-1 blockchain of the same name, recently announced the integration of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Blockchain Node Runners into Sui, providing developers with a convenient self-managed node deployment solution.
This integration enables Sui developers to easily configure and launch Sui full nodes on the AWS platform, leveraging AWS’ powerful cloud infrastructure that provides high availability, scalability, and reliability. AWS Blockchain Node Runners makes running a blockchain node easy: you can easily deploy, scale, manage, and monitor secure blockchain nodes all in one place. Starting today, Navi, a prominent liquidity protocol, will deploy a full node on Sui using Node Runners.
“AWS Blockchain Node Runners is designed to support builders at every stage of the application lifecycle, providing a blueprint for meeting their specific requirements, from enhanced security and compliance to ease of deployment and monitoring,” said Kathryn Van Nuys, global head of startup specialization at AWS. “We’re excited to deliver these and other capabilities to enable developers to deploy and manage Sui nodes on the AWS Cloud.”
Node Runners offers various technical advantages for blockchain node deployment. It provides verified, first-class deployment templates and makes it easy to manage node operations across different locations. As ensuring high availability is a top priority, it offers multi-node deployment options across different availability zones. The deployment code is open-source and available on GitHub, allowing users to review it before deploying. Node Runners is designed to seamlessly integrate with the AWS Well-Architected Framework, allowing organizations to build a robust, reliable, and optimized node infrastructure. By leveraging Node Runners, enterprises can establish a secure, high-performance, and resilient node infrastructure. Sui’s full nodes are critical for validating on-chain activities such as transactions, checkpoints, and epoch changes. They also store stakes and history to efficiently handle client queries. By delegating query services to validator nodes, validators can prioritize transaction processing and node updates upon the completion of new transactions.
Navi, a prominent player in the cryptocurrency world, recently became one of the early adopters of Sui’s Node Runners, and today the company successfully launched its first node using AWS services.
As part of our efforts to support Sui builders, developers, and startups using AWS Blockchain Node Runners or building on Sui, you are eligible to receive up to $5,000 in Activate Credits. The Sui Foundation recently joined the AWS Web3 Provider Program, which offers a range of benefits to Sui developers, including access to tools, resources, content, and credits.
“Integrating AWS Node Runners into Sui is a crucial step forward in strengthening our blockchain infrastructure. Sui nodes are fundamental to the operation and accessibility of Sui. This integration with AWS not only gives developers even more tools to simplify node deployment, but also financial support for usage and development on AWS,” said Henrik Johansson, Global Community Head at Sui Foundation.
