CHICAGO (July 23, 2024) – The U.S. Soccer Association and Xtadium today announced a collaboration to deliver U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Team match content in virtual reality through the Xtadium app on the Meta Quest Headset. The initiative kicks off with the release of three high-level matches: the USMNT Summer Showdown vs. Colombia presented by Marriott Bonvoy, the Allstate Continental Clasico vs. Brazil in early June, and the USWNT “Impact 99” vs. Mexico presented by New York Life on July 13.
Using Xtadium’s cutting-edge VR technology, fans will be able to experience the excitement of these matches from the comfort of their own home. By transporting fans directly to the stadium, Xtadium and US Soccer aim to redefine the fan experience, making the match-watching experience more engaging and interactive than ever before.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the U.S. Soccer Federation to provide fans with a truly immersive viewing experience,” said Sebastian Amenggal, chief technology officer at Xtadium. “Our goal is to bring the soccer stadium experience to fans’ homes, and this collaboration is a big step toward that vision.”
