It’s true: the PlayStation VR 2 is currently discounted to just £349 in the UK, a massive £180.99 reduction off its original list price, and the Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle has also been reduced to £389.99.
It’s discounted at all major retailers, including Amazon, Currys and Argos, making this an unprecedented price cut – and at the time of writing there’s no sign of a similar discount happening in the US.

Smyths has reduced the price of the VR headset to £329 (plus £2.99 delivery) for a limited time only, so getting your hands on a PSVR2 just got a little easier, no matter which retailer you’re buying from.
This comes just two weeks before the PSVR2 gets a new lease on life: the VR gaming headset will gain compatibility with Steam VR games in August, including popular titles like Half-Life: Alyx.
As announced on the PlayStation Blog back in June, a PC adapter that will allow you to connect the PSVR2 headset directly to a PC is scheduled to be released on August 7th.
According to both Steam and the PS Blog, the minimum PC requirements are:

Recently, reports have emerged that Sony has temporarily halted production of the PS VR2 due to a buildup of unsold inventory.
Eurogamer’s VR expert Ian Higton criticized Sony for not supporting PS VR2, specifically pointing out that the upcoming Astro Bot game is not a VR title.
