We’re back with our latest VR news roundup, bringing you some news you may have missed.
On the VR hardware side, MR Dynamic Occlusion on the Quest 3 received a notable upgrade, Meta AI was introduced to Quest headsets and we may have gotten our first clear look at the Quest 3S, HTC previewed the next Vive headset, Google is reportedly looking to steal Ray-Ban from Meta, PSVR 2 was heavily discounted in the UK, Apple Vision Pro gets new virtual environments, and the PSVR 2 Steam app has arrived.
In VR games, Into The Radius 2 launched in Steam Early Access, Gran Turismo 7 added new tracks and six cars in update 1.49, the Quest July sale continues, and Walkabout’s Wallace & Gromit course is now live. Arken Age release date confirmed “in the coming weeks”
Arken Age, a VR sci-fi action-adventure with physics-based combat, has provided an update on its launch plans. After detailing upcoming features for PSVR 2, such as eye-tracked weapons and frame rate, VitruviusVR said it hopes to “announce a release date in the next few days.” [of] week.”
Inter Solar 83 July update is now available
Following a recent update to the closed alpha build, the latest Inter Solar 83 update is now live for all Patreon backers with new features, including a dynamic temperature system affecting ships, a climate control system, a power consumption system, and more.
DigiGods – NeoCity 1.2 update adds meme-inspired cosmetics
DigiGods, the Garry’s Mod and Roblox-inspired VR/MR sandbox, has released the “NeoCity 1.2: All Aboard” update, which Squido Studio says includes an array of aviation-themed content, “from powerful gunner jets to quirky meme-inspired cosmetics.”
TerraAria: Spellfinitive Edition updates language-learning VR RPG
Released last year, Terra Alia, the VR fantasy RPG that lets you learn a new language from 30 Parallel Games, got a major update this week, adding three new locations, multiplayer support, new spells, an improved interface, voice recognition upgrades, and more – plus a 50% discount for the first month after release.
New Shaolin Soccer Kung Fu Challenge Coming to Dragon Fist VR
Dragon Fist: VR Kung Fu now has a new multiplayer mode called Shaolin Soccer. Playable in 1v1 or 2v2 matches between Team Yin and Team Yang, the mode allows you to attack other players to stop them from scoring and perform several special moves. The first team to score five goals wins.
