Amazon Web Services (AWS) launched GenAI Loft, a two-week pop-up aimed at fostering innovation and community in the evolving field of generative artificial intelligence technology, in Bengaluru on July 29. The loft will be open to visitors till August 9.
“GenAI Loft is designed to provide a dedicated space for developers and innovators to learn, ideate, and gain hands-on experience leveraging the transformative potential of generative AI. GenAI Loft will also provide networking opportunities to connect with startups, investors, AWS experts, and partners. This initiative underscores AWS’ commitment to foster the next wave of AI-driven innovation by democratizing access to generative AI technologies globally,” said Kumara Raghavan, Head of Startups, AWS India and South Asia.
AWS GenAI Loft will provide a collaborative pop-up space in key AI hotspots across the globe and also provide visitors with a unique platform to gain insights and explore real-world applications of generative AI across industries, Raghavan added.
“Learn about the latest generative AI models and services through workshops, hands-on training sessions, AWS and partner demos, and networking with AI experts and thought leaders. We are excited to kick off our global tour of the AWS GenAI Loft in Bengaluru, the epicenter of AI innovation in India.”

The Bengaluru edition will feature India’s leading AI startups, he said, and will also feature generative AI demos from AWS partners Shellkode, Datastax, Ganit, Cloudthat, Ankercloud, Rapyder, and GoML. AWS GenAI Lofts expands on AWS’ recent $230 million commitment to accelerate the development of generative AI applications by startups around the world. The tour will operate as a traveling residency, and after Bengaluru, GenAI Lofts will travel to San Francisco, Sao Paulo, London, and Paris.
