Rakuten Mobile and RADCOM Ltd. plan to expand their ongoing partnership to include the expansion of technology solutions that leverage advanced artificial intelligence (AI) analytics.
RADCOM will continue to provide Rakuten Mobile with its current technology solutions while incorporating AI services such as anomaly detection and automated root cause analysis. These technologies are specifically developed to proactively detect and address network issues, enabling Rakuten Mobile to maintain high quality services, enhance operational efficiency and network automation monitoring.
Leveraging AI/ML
Rami Amit, Chief Technology Officer at RADCOM, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities presented by the renewed partnership and the introduction of AI-powered technology solutions.

Meanwhile, Hiroshi Takeshita, Deputy Chief Technology Officer and Head of Network Operations at Rakuten Mobile, emphasized the reliability of RADCOM’s solutions based on their previous partnership.

Automating warranty procedures
One of the key focuses of the new partnership is RADCOM ACE, a system that leverages advanced AI and machine learning (ML) analytics to automate assurance procedures across the network, from the radio access network (RAN) to the core.
The technology enables the automation of telco-specific procedures, helping teams improve quality and operational efficiency. The system also enables the Network Operations Center (NOC) to quickly detect anomalies in various services such as roaming, Voice over Long-Term Evolution (VoLTE), video streaming, etc. Core engineers receive timely warnings and are notified of trace analysis, allowing them to quickly investigate performance degradation issues.
Meanwhile, automated root cause analysis helps RAN teams efficiently identify and address issues. Moreover, RADCOM ACE’s cloud-native architecture incorporates container-based cTap for load balancing and traffic management, ensuring smooth automation and adaptability.
