The rapid growth of IoT devices presents significant security challenges, especially in terms of cost and complexity.
IoT attacks grew 600% from 2016 to 2017, IoT is predicted to reach 29.42 billion devices by 2030, and the global IoT security market is expected to reach USD 20.98 billion by 2028, led by the Asia-Pacific region.

Traditional authentication methods such as passwords are vulnerable to security threats and are costly to manage.
In Vietnam, the recent implementation of Decision 2345 by the State Bank of Vietnam has increased the demand for secure, user-friendly authentication methods like FIDO.
This need extends beyond the banking and finance sector to many other areas.
WebComm’s strong expertise and experience with FIDO solutions will be valuable in meeting this need.
Leveraging the strengths of both WebComm and VinCSS, the collaboration will focus on technical training, business development and seamless technology integration.
The partnership aims to improve existing solutions and bring them to market more effectively.
WebComm and VinCSS will strategically collaborate to promote each other’s solutions.
Through this partnership, WebComm will bundle its zero trust solutions with Taiwan’s VinCSS’ IoT FDO solutions.
VinCSS excels in IoT security and has developed several world-first FDO solutions, including FDO Cameras, FDO Parking Systems and FDO Network Deployment Solutions, many of which have been commercialized worldwide.
These resources will enable WebComm to further expand its current services and address the growing need to secure IoT devices for its diverse clientele.
Similarly, VinCSS will promote WebComm’s FIDO digital identity solution and OETH cloud identity solution in Vietnam.
Working with WebComm, VinCSS will be able to complete a comprehensive 360-degree passwordless authentication solution to address all customer needs, including hardware and SaaS components, authentication of employee and external users, and compatibility with the specific commercial platforms customers currently use.
The collaboration will also help accelerate the adoption of passwordless transformation in Vietnam.
Jay Chen, general manager of WebComm, said that by combining the company’s expertise in OETH SaaS solutions and FIDO digital identity solutions with VinCSS’s pioneering IoT FDO technology, the two companies can jointly address the growing security needs of Taiwan, Vietnam and other countries.
This collaboration will not only strengthen the product portfolios of both companies but also pave the way for significant advancements in the field of cybersecurity in the global market.
Meanwhile, Simon Trac Do, CEO of VinCSS, believes that the collaboration will bring about great change by combining the experience and strengths of both parties.
“This will not only impact research, development and business activities, but also contribute to transforming the cybersecurity environment in Vietnam, Taiwan and many other markets,” Simon said.
