On November 9, the Publicis Sapient Global Energy Tech Awards celebrated the trailblazers, innovators and pioneers leading the world’s journey towards a greener, cleaner future. This was Publicis Sapient’s first energy-focused awards initiative, a consulting firm that helps clients transform their businesses into digitally enabled businesses. The virtual ceremony spotlighted startups working to make the world a better place by creating better energy solutions for people, businesses and the planet. There were six categories, each focused on a specific aspect of the global energy challenge.
British company Vyntelligence won the Best Smart Network Solution category. The company developed a mobile-first system that enables workers to easily capture and share videos and other multimedia files to improve the safety and security of frontline site visits. The company also deserved special recognition for taking the award as the standout performer among all entries.
Another UK company, Mina, won the award for Best Electric Vehicle Solution, as its Edison platform simplifies how people can pay to charge their electric vehicles, enabling the large-scale transition to electric vehicles.
The Mobile Customer Experience award went to BatteryXChange, a US company whose battery rental kiosks allow users to rent fully charged batteries to charge their devices on the move.
Singapore-based startup AirCarbon Exchange, whose blockchain platform improves transparency and efficiency in carbon credit markets, won the Best Solution in Energy Trading award, while German company Solytic, whose digital solutions enable customers to reduce costs and extend the life of solar energy installations, won the Best Use of Data and Insights award.
The Best Cleantech award went to Virtual Global Trading AG, a Swiss company that has built a digital energy trading platform for energy producers and consumers.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the best talent and ideas leading the transition to a cleaner, greener world,” said Nigel Vaz, CEO of Publicis Sapient. “As the energy transition drives new customer behaviors and expectations, there is a huge opportunity for digital to be at the core of how industries transform the way energy is produced, stored, traded and delivered.”
All winners were selected by a prestigious panel of judges comprised of industry experts and energy sector leaders from around the world. As part of their prize, the winning company will receive a one-on-one mentoring session with one of the judges and an exclusive workshop with Publicis Sapient on scaling and accelerating their product or solution.
