Moses Mbetsa, CEO of Numerical IOT, at the launch of TransitTAG.
Local technology company Numeral IOT has unveiled a new solution to address safety concerns of parents and schools across the country.
The real-time school bus monitoring system, named TransitTAG, is set to revolutionize child transportation and set new standards for child safety.
TransitTAG consists of a wearable wrist tag for children, a live camera feed, and AI-driven analytics that monitor driver attentiveness and child behavior, allowing parents and schools to track the bus’s location in real time to ensure children are safe throughout the entire trip.
“We understand the anxiety parents feel when their children are driving, and TransitTAG provides peace of mind by providing real-time visibility and comprehensive monitoring,” said Morris Mbetsa, CEO of Numeral IOT.
The system also includes features like instant notifications, detailed bus movement tracking, and direct communication channels between parents and schools. This level of transparency is expected to build trust between parents and schools.
Besides TransitTAG, Numeral IOT also launched IKONTROL My Car, a telematics device for remote vehicle diagnostics, and Drive-Fi, an in-car Wi-Fi offering in partnership with Airtel Kenya.
As Kenya continues to adopt technology, Numeral IOT’s innovation highlights the country’s potential as a hub for cutting-edge solutions.
