Aerospace Xelerated has announced a Romanian Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) company as the winner of its startup pitch competition.
LYNEports, a Romanian company specializing in AAM planning solutions, has been named the winner of this year’s Aerospace Xelerated Startup Pitch Competition.
LYNEports, which won a cash prize of £5,000, was one of five finalists for the award, which highlighted the strong pitch of its founders, the potential of its product and its ability to drive change in the industry.
“We are grateful for this opportunity and look forward to leveraging this platform and rewards to further our mission of merging airspace and ground space, making them more inclusive and bringing the next generation of travel and aviation to our cities and communities in a safe and sustainable way,” said Rasha Alshami, CEO and Founder of LYNEports.
Other finalists included Eddytec, Estuaire, Sora Aviation, OneGrab and Flux Aviation, bringing the total number of startups to 20 in the competition, of which six are UK-based, nine are women-founded and ten are working on sustainability-focused solutions.
Commenting on the number of female-founded startups, Jacqueline Davidson, Program Director at Aerospace Zenerated, said: “A 50% participation rate of female-founded companies is a strong indicator of the great strides being made towards gender diversity in aerospace. Not only are female-led startups breaking down barriers, they are also driving innovation within the industry.”
The startup competition was held as part of Farnborough International Airshow’s first dedicated startup zone.
