How do you binge watch?
The release of season 3 of The Bear is dropping this week, which got me thinking, do you prefer it when shows release all episodes at once like this? With Disney+, HBO, and Amazon Prime Video firmly committing to weekly releases with their buzziest titles, and Netflix increasingly choosing to split seasons for hits like Bridgerton, Emily in Paris and Cobra Kai, it seems like the “all at once” binge model may be dying out.
I used to strongly prefer the immediate gratification of the all-at-once binge, but I find myself increasingly drawn back to the weekly release model, as it allows me to properly “digest” shows I really like, and also allows fans to connect with one another to discuss the show. I think a good argument for this type of model would be AMC+’s Interview with the Vampire, which is released weekly and has built up quite a community online with folks discussing each episode on TikTok and X. Such deep dives would not be possible if all episodes were released at once, and it

What do you want from the next Polaroid?
The Polaroid comeback has been a huge part of casual photography culture. The Polaroid Now+ and Polaroid Go are a staple in casual photography, especially in universities where we have so many moments to capture, and the swing is towards more analogue photography. What would you like to see them evolve with the next Polaroid? I can’t help but think the form factor is still a little too bulky, even with the Polaroid Go Generation 2. It’s nowhere as convenient to slip into my backpack as the FujiFilm Instax Evo with its slim build. What would you like to see them fix or change?

Over a decade later, and we’re still talking about the iPhone 4s
Patrick is right — the iPhone 4s from 2011 is still a stunner today. Its design really set it apart back in the day, with its classy glass back. Yes, it’s a solid and blocky phone, but frankly, it’s easier to grip than the super slim phones we all have now.
One of the quirkiest things about this old phone is the 30-pin connector. I remember how much of a pain this was to disconnect, but at the same time, it clicks in so satisfyingly secure — something you don’t really get with today’s connectors. Plus, there’s something neat about the camera being flush with the back of the phone, unlike today’s models with their camera bumps.
Despite its pretty outdated specs, the iPhone 4s was ahead of its time. It’s a blast from the past and a reminder of how much things have evolved. It’s more than just nostalgia; it’s a nod to Apple’s lasting impact on phone design and tech in general.
I got to say, though… I don’t miss the home button.

What do you think of iOS 18’s first public beta?
The first iOS 18 public beta has arrived. The initial iteration of Apple’s updated mobile operating system features RCS (finally!), built-in call recording, customizable lock-screen buttons (that still look a little rough), locking apps behind Face ID, and the somewhat wacky ability to tint your Home Screen icons. Along with iOS 18, iPadOS 18 is now available too, though Apple’s update to its tablet operating system is far less exciting, with the only notable (and very amusing) feature being the new calculator. Finally, macOS Sequoia and watchOS 11 have also released. With all of that said, what do you think of iOS 18’s public beta so far, and how smoothly is it running on your device? Have you made your home screen absolutely hideous yet? I know I plan to.

What’s your wishlist for a pocket mirrorless camera?
With the release of the Sony ZV-E10 II, we are getting the next step in Sony’s compact vlogging camera evolution. The camera has better camera sensitivity, it shoots in 4K60P video, and a more versatile battery life. The camera has received great reviews across the board, but I can’t help but be slightly disappointed by Sony’s current trajectory. I wish the camera had evolved more while staying mid range price. At a $1,000+ price point, the camera is a financial investment. Despite its high price point, the camera still doesn’t have 8K60P and anything above a few hours charge. I want to know at what point we will be able to get a camera that doesn’t break the bank that fits in with YouTube’s highest definition capabilities these days, and allows for long trips or remote vacations. As someone who cares a lot about visual quality, and travels often, I’d love a compact camera that has the possibility of 8K resolution, and several days charge for less than $2,000.
