Astro Hunters VR is a new PvPvE VR extraction shooter coming to Steam next month, followed by a multi-platform launch later on.
Developed by Wenkly Studio, renowned for Survival Nation and Elven Assassin, Astro Hunters VR is a cross-platform online multiplayer game in which players play as mercenaries known as Hunters, exploring different planets to gather resources, craft new items and take down enemies with pistols, rifles, rocket launchers, machine guns, shotguns and snipers.
Astro Hunters VR takes a risk-reward approach, allowing you to choose to join forces with other nearby players to survive or kill them for more loot. Resources are managed at the Mothership’s crafting station, and weapons can be upgraded with attribute modifications such as fire, acid, plasma, and electricity.
Following its appearance at Steam Next Fest last month, the free demo for Astro Hunters VR will be available again on Steam from 26th to 28th July at 1pm CEST. The demo will have unlimited gameplay time, as the studio has confirmed there will be no playtime limits.
Astro Hunters VR will be available on Steam on August 8th. The official website lists a Quest release window of Q3 2024, with Pico and PSVR 2 ports coming at a later date.
