Shadow Legend VR (2019) Arken Age is a single-player sci-fi shooter from studio VitruviusVR coming soon.
The team announced that they have completed their first large-scale beta testing with SteamVR users and are currently sending out a second batch of code, with a release date expected to be announced in the “coming weeks.”
The studio also revealed some new gameplay to go along with this, which you can check out below.
Coming to PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, the single-player VR adventure is more than just a sci-fi shooter: the studio says it will include fully customizable melee and ranged weapons, physics-based combat, boss fights, over 24 unique areas, and a 10-15 hour campaign.
VitruviusVR describes the story this way:
Your journey begins at the Tower of the Celestial Guardian on the shores of the Biochasm, a terraformed realm created to harvest Arkenite energy. Its divine founder, the Grand Arborist, has ceased cultivation of your planet and all communications sent to him have been met with complete silence. Uncover the truth behind the Grand Arborist’s disappearance and take up arms against Hyperion and his legions of corrupt soldiers, who have allied with the Nara alien race and seized power.
An official release date has yet to be announced, but you can wishlist the game on Steam and PSVR 2. Check out the announcement trailer below, which includes plenty of gameplay footage.
